Iida Ruishalme is a Zurich-based, Finnish biomedical researcher, science communicator, and fiction writer. She became an environmental activist in recent years when she awoke to the fact that the world would not necessarily stay the same for her children. She sees nuclear power as a necessary means for combatting climate change with her understanding and impressions of nuclear power becoming radically overhauled once she began to research the best solutions for decarbonisation. She blogs actively on agriculture and environmental topics bringing a scientific viewpoint to the ongoing discussion in the society. She is also an active participant in the joint activities of ecomodernists in Europe.
